Doctirnal Statement

We at Selah Ministries hold fast to the belief that Orthodox Dogma (that great body of Biblical Truth that has been held true by Believers down through the centuries) is fixed, inviolable, irrescindable, and nonnegotiable.
Verbal plenary inspiration of the Bible - God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son…
Heb. 1:1; John 17:1-8
The Tri-unity of God - that The Eternal Father, The Eternal Son, The Eternal Spirit are co-equal, and one in essence.
Deut. 33:27; John 1:1; Heb. 9:13

Literal Creationism - The heaven and the earth and all the creatures thereof owes its very existence to God.
Isa. 40:25-31, 42:5, 45:18

The Virgin Birth - that Jesus Christ in the fulfilling of the prophecy was born of a virgin who was overshadowed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Isa. 7:14; Matt. 1:23

The Deity of Christ - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. We believe He is co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father.
John 1:1; Phil. 2:6

Substitutionary atonement - that at calvary the Just (Jesus Christ) died for the unjust (lost humanity). That He paid the wages of our sin with His own blood.
II Cor. 5:21

Bodily resurrection - that Jesus Christ on the third day rose bodily from the grave and walked, ministered, and ate with His disciples.
I Cor. 15:12-19

Christ ascension and enthronement - that after Jesus' earthly ministry was completed, He ascended into heaven and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Acts 1:7-9; Heb. 1:3b

The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead - he proceedth from the Father and the Son.
John 15:26

The Second Coming of Christ - a literal pre-millennial return of Christ to rapture the righteous, condemn the wicked, and to redeem the nation of Israel, and initiate a golden age.
I Chron. 17:11-14; Dan. 2:44; Matt. 24

A literal Heaven and Hell - Heaven being an abode for all born-again believers, Hell being an abode of the wicked, and ungodly.
Rev. 4; Luke 16:22-31

Eternal condemnation of the wicked - that being the lake of fire.
Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8

Eternal bliss for the righteous - the new heaven and earth.
Rev. 21:1-5
